ENGAGEMENT
Open Workshops
Every residency starts with an open 3-day dance intensive led by the selected choreographer. The workshops are open for the whole local dance community in North Macedonia.
COLLABORATION
Dance Production
Within the 3-day dance intensive, 7 dancers will be selected by the choreographer to participate in the creation of a dance production. The productions will be for professional dancers only, with a possibility for semi-professional dancers to join.
PERFORMING
Regional Tour
At the end, every production will be premiered in Skopje and then toured in three other cities in North Macedonia. In case there is additional funding acquired, the productions will be toured regionally as well.

What is the project about?
Tanz.Transformator is a project by Beatrix Cultural Centar, aiming to support the local professional dance community. The project is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
It envisions three professional dance productions, out of which two with international choreographers and one with local choreographer. The productions will be open for 7 selected dancers and will be developed within one-month of work. The dancers will be selected through an open 3-day intensive.
This is a paid opportunity for both dancers and choreographers.

We have developed this project to help our small community grow. All three productions are a paid opportunity for all dancers. If you are willing to join, we invite you to apply!

Who else can join?
The project Tanz.Transformator is developed for the purpose of empowering the professional dance community in North Macedonia. However, our program will be open to non-professional dancers as well.
Before the beginning of each production, there is a possibility for non-professional dancers to join a 3-day intensive with the choreographer and to try their chance to be selected in the production.
